CHART Institute is dedicated to improving patient safety and reducing medical errors. It translates information into solutions and makes consulting, data management and training resources available at no cost to member hospitals. In turn, it builds safer institutions.
Through ongoing education, sharing of best practices and claims defense, CHART Institute pools resources in order to empower community hospitals and allow them to better serve their patients. Benefits like on-site simulation training are offered to member institutions free of charge.
Furthermore, CHART Institute was officially recognized by the Secretary of Health and Human Services as a Patient Safety Organization (PSO).
Beginning December 17, 2011, CHART Institute is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Contact hours awarded by CHART Institute are reciprocal in West Virginia and New York.
