Upper St. Clair (December 9, 2011) – CHART Risk Retention Group, a medical malpractice liability insurance company and AHRQ-certified Patient Safety Organization, adds Information Security Coverage and Breach Response to its list of member services.
Effective January 1, 2012, the coverage includes liability for security breaches including theft, loss or unauthorized release of information. Also included in this coverage is a call center for notifying affected individuals, computer forensic costs, identify theft-related fraud resolution services, and access to educational resources on compliance and safeguarding information.
The coverage will be underwritten by Lloyd’s of London, specifically Beazley Syndicate, and premiums will be paid by CHART.
