Protection for the unexpected starts with education.

To assist members with their continuing education needs, we provide access to authoritative online resources, such as The Sullivan Group, National Patient Safety Foundation, Med-IQ (Formerly ELM Exchange), StoryCare® and AWHONN. Additional education is provided through monthly webinars and annual conferences.

Resources are available to member hospitals and their staff at no additional charge. CHART Institute, LLC is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association.

Simulation Training Program

Allows providers to practice skills and procedures within an environment of team work and communication, with the goal of sharpening real-world clinical and decision-making skills. All CHART member hospitals are encouraged to participate and receive:

A high-fidelity, human patient simulator

Technical support and simulator equipment maintenance

Onsite training for hospital educators

Ongoing education and networking opportunities

Industry recognized, tested curriculum

Access to high fidelity perinatal, postpartum and pediatric simulators

CHART offers on-request obstetric simulation training. This program is designed to meet specific labor and delivery needs at CHART member hospitals. Laerdal SimMom® and SimNewB® simulators are available for member hospitals to borrow upon request. Simulator-based training programs benefit hospital staff by providing high fidelity perinatal, postpartum and infant drills.
In addition to all of the features present with other high fidelity simulators, SimMom® also features seizures, the ability to accomplish different birthing positions, and fetal heart monitoring.
SimNewB® allows learners to practice a broad range of neonatal skills within a realistic simulation environment.
